Join our team

We are looking for people who would like to support our project and get involved in helping our planet. You will have a chance to connect with people from all over the world, explore Gran Canaria, and do plenty of activities.

Our goal is also to help the Canarian government to replant the original trees that for thousands of years have inhabited the valley (dragon tree, Canarian palm tree, laurisilva).

Who are we looking for?

  • Ideally people with experience in ecological agriculture,
  • Motivated, physically, and mentally people who are willing to learn and give their energy for a good cause
  • People with carpenter skills

What will be your tasks?

Your tasks will be to help us to take care of, improve, and enlarge our fruit forest and veggie garden. Produce our own compost and soil, feed our animals, and also help us to fight against invasive species like cane. This will help the Canarian government to replant the original trees that for thousands of years have inhabited the valley (dragon tree, Canarian palm tree, laurisilva).

Other tasks would be maintenance work for our touristic accommodation (a private house for max. 4 persons). That will include some cleaning tasks, washing bed stuff, carrying around gas bottles, etc.

Also, we will use the leftovers of our kitchen from our 32 beds Hostel La Ventana Azul in Las Palmas. You will also be able to visit our hostel and connect with the international team and guests there.

We are asking you for 24 hours of help per week. Including 4 days off per week!

What do we provide?

We are offering you free accommodation in our already legendary Hostel La Ventana Azul at Canteras Beach in the capital Las Palmas. It's only a 25 car drive away (1 hour with public transport). As long as our yurt tent is not set up yet at the finca, your bed will be at the hostel and we will pay you a monthly ticket for public transport. We ask you to be at the finca 3 days per week, 8 hours per day.

Apart from accommodation and transport we also include free ecological food from the finca. This means products like eggs, avocados, bananas, veggies, oranges, tangerine, etc - all depending on the season. Our plan is with your help to widen this offer for the next generation of volunteers, guests, and visitors.
